The art works in this show are derived from notations and sketches made in David’s dream diary, the ream of dreams referred to in the subtitle. These sketches, made when the dream is recalled, have become a bench mark as to whether they have the potential to be developed into art works. It is the distinctive visual motif of the dream which forms the centre piece of each of these works. Handwritten entries have been reproduced, reversed and pasted over each other, reducing their literal legibility in favour of a common connecting vibration. It is from all these written, drawn, painted and coloured elements, embedded through collage, that the works’ integrity starts to emerge.

As indicated by the Paracelsus quote above it is not the dream which is important but the help it gives in making us aware of and then orientating our progress toward the light of wisdom.
